“Let me start by dispelling the myth that Chesterwood is “just a retirement village.” It is so much more than that. I had a Lumbar 3–4 laminectomy on 5/12/26, fully expecting to go home the next day and begin outpatient therapy. The universe, however, had other plans. I was told I needed inpatient skilled nursing and advanced therapy, and after doing my research, it became clear that Chesterwood w…”

“I was there for 3 months for therapy. I had excellent care from Malissa, Bryce, Alicia, Gianna, Eyvonnia, Kay-Kay, Trey and Unique. They all went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and when I had anxiety attacks they took the time to sit with me until I could relax. I also had great therapist in Carrie sf Mike. Tamara the respiratory therapist worked with me on my breathing issues and…”

“My brother taken here early in April after long hospitalization. He went days without being shower. Waited 3 hours once to be changed. Several times waited hour for care after pressing his call light. Several of staff members were rude to him. For most part low staffing and staff being overwhelmed seems more the issue.”
