“Leadership seems far more visible and engaged in independent living than in assisted living. Issues in AL can go unnoticed for long periods, only being addressed once they become significant problems. Maintenance requests also appear to take a backseat when compared with concerns in the IL building. To make matters worse, staff are often reassigned to support IL, leaving assisted living residents …”
